Reading your posts, i understand a shakeup is under way, but the new owners must take control of the situation before the paper becomes a joke -- or worse, a plagiarism factory. In today's edition alone, there are not only typos but at least one outright journalistic lie: it's well known that the News has no correspondent in Nuevo Leon, yet a story by "The News" on p3 has a dateline of Nuevo Leon. It's one thing to have bad typos throughout the paper (and it is understandable given the staffing and multinational nature of the staff) but outright lying is not forgivable in journalism. I canceled my subscription today, I recommend others do the same unless a promise is made in print to improve this paper.
